The A-Team is the work of Arno Marten. One operator, a high bar, and a small set of tools built to that bar — not a company selling someone else’s.
For thirteen years Arno founded and ran the world’s first commercial packrafting business — building a sport into a livelihood from a corner of Fiordland, and holding a standard that turned beginners into people who could read water, weather and their own limits.
For twenty years he has lived off-grid in a solar home he designed and built himself — not a kit, not a contractor’s job, but a system understood from the panel to the battery to the last cable run. That habit — understand the whole thing, then build it properly — is how everything here gets made.
Today he builds under The A-Team: 2IC, the personal AI; Tactical AI for businesses finding their feet with it; Alpine Timing through the ski season; and a growing set of practical tools and books. Quiet, disciplined, results-led. Subtle in style, direct in use.
